hey not been on in a while, my computer died on me and ordered one from apple which had to be built..
In answer to your question, I looked into it before buying the pressed plates, and mine are legal, the police had pulled me over a few times saying that they weren't as the lettering was too thin or something (i think they thought they were the german style) but when they measured them funnily enough they were legal, and the mr police man wasn't too happy. Apparently a lot of people just get the pressed show plates and put them on which dont have the little code in the bottom right corner of the plates. I got the pressed ones from craigsplates.com and they served me well until I bought the domed ones..
And Ben, I do hope you manage to find some decent glue, after all that work you've put into it :S

Cheers Alex
Everything pulls off
Except steering wheel trim has a few torx screws on the reverse of the wheel
And the stereo has 2 x T25 torx screws and 2 x hex bolts (7mm socket)

Few little updates
New button location
Got rid of the separate charger and aux lead
Added a second 12v socket
Used this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/iPhone-3-5mm-Au ... B002ATMN22
Much better with one lead
Fitted a glove box light

Fitted 'Ambient Lighting'
Connected it to the interior light
When the doors are opened/ the car is unlocked but keys not in yet.. The lights fade on
When the doors are shut/ the key is turned to stage 1/2/3.. The lights fade off
The lights don't come on when the interior light is turned on manually
I think it looks great
